Clear it out Design Team Challenge

If there is one thing in the crafting world that scares me it's the dreaded scrapbook. Oh sure.. they look pretty on a coffee table or anywhere in your house. Of course there are a million and a half paper stacks available in stores. Endless options for embellishing your project. But there is something... just that little something in my mind that says "Wow... you could never do one that nice." That nasty little voice in your head that is always telling you to question projects. Whether its spawned by searching You Tube for ideas or the millions of talented scrap book specialists on blogs... it is human nature to second guess everything from your color choices to binding. Who actually understands binding? Not me... I haven't gotten that far yet in my quest for scrappy knowledge. So today, I give you a first. My very first scrapbook layout. I wanted it to look like a desk ink blotter... I don't know if I accomplished that or not. Oh well... it doesn't really matter to me. I'm just thrilled that I actually did one!

I designed this layout for the Clear it out Blog. The sponsor was creatingisfun.etsy.com. This is my very first design project for them. I can't wait for many many more! What do you think? How was my first attempt at a layout?

  1. Heya Partner! I think this was a fantastic first! Congrats on finally doing your first scrapbook layout. It does look like an ink blotter and you accomplished your goal. Great job! I love the layout.
